Old Ras"PUKIN"....At first I thought I was drinking the Sam Adams high Content version of Imperial Stout. Then I realized, this stuff is no where near as sweet as the Sam Adams or as thick for that matter. But even with those quality's I had had enough by the third drink. Glad Mustachio coughed up for this one, I would have been pissed if I flushed my money down the toilet like he did....lmao, just kidding man. 1 Monk on this one!!!
Glad I coughed up the dinero for this one. Old Rasputin is a good solid high content beer for the price. Not too sweet and not to much of a bitter aftertaste. It seems that I'm picking up a little bit of vanilla oakyish flavor. I don't know if I'll get it again, but it has a nice warm pleasant buzz for now. At 9% ABV and 7.99 a 4 pack, it's a great buy for the price. I'd be interested in what Simple Sauce has to say about this one.3.5 monks
I'll be lookin' for this one on the next fruit loop run... most likely will pick up a 4-pack of Sam's Imperial White just to smack down Rasputin for good. And since when did B.R.O. ever endorse saving a beer with a review based on alcohol-for-the-buck ratio. Economics? Really? Monks to be determined.
